Lush green veld, game grazing without bother in the warm sun. A perfect mid-summer’s day in the North West. Birds chirping, sun beetles screeching, a cool breeze wafting through – you absolutely HAVE to have your windows rolled down as you drive up to the venue at Inyala Game Lodge. Oh and do take your time, this little trip will refresh, relax and prep you for the wedding celebration to come!
And what a beautiful celebration of love Hardie and Michelle’s wedding was!
The decor and details revealed Michelle and her parents’ love for DIY – and countless hours spent preparing for this special day. Thousands of beads hand-sewn to her dress. A dress hanger for the bride’s and each bride’s maid’s dress, made of wood and wire. The church stationary, beautiful hessian hearts, each table’s personal centerpiece, and that spectacular wedding cake – to point out a few.

Hardie and Michelle did a quick (and rather emotional) first look right before their ceremony. So much excitement, anticipation, love and joy! A warm hearted couple, smiling together, laughing together, sharing a few tears together, holding hands, and clearly, holding each other’s hearts.
Mix this couple’s love and cuddles with some perfect late afternoon sun light, loads of giggles and guffaws of the retinue, and the breathtaking beauty of Inyala’s landscape – magical wedding photos guaranteed! A glorious Inyala even awaited us to kick off our session, probably just to make sure we really did feel the African veld spirit.
The reception was once again filled with laughter, smiles of love and appreciation, a few tears and hours of fun and celebration. Inyala’s kitchen impressed – as always, even if you already know to expect this kind of delicious! We added the finishing touches to a perfect wedding day with a few quick ‘after dark’ photos, and were off to our chalet with more laughter, music and joy still filling the night.
